It was a bizzy-dizzy weekend. No time to post!

Friday night was homecoming for Reitz High School (link to sales sight) and shootmyphoto.com was out on the field photographing the court and the subsequent crowning.

The new king, Matt McIntosh watched most of the game from the sideline while his backup Dillon Stuttsman once again performed like the first-string QB we know he is.

Matt came in to play in the second half and lit up the offense as usual.

Blessed Busy-ness

Pray for the lottery numbers and you may be disappointed, but pray for work... well watch what you ask for! God is happy to give you work :)

Today was a mix of rushing and plain old fun!

The morning started by running some photos up to Reitz for the Seniors to be featured on the scoreboard at Homecoming this Friday. Then I had the pleasure of having on of my clients from last year, Kendra Bisesi (pictured right), help me sort through the Kicker's SAY Soccer League photos, putting them in packages.

It's fun to see their smiling faces again as we put them into the envelopes... see you again next year!

In case you didn't know: we put all the ordered photos online at the ShootMyPhoto Fan Page on FaceBook. Then mom's and dad's can tag the pics and use them in their own profiles.

We do the same thing for high school seniors and other photos we take (wedding, family, maternity, VR photography etc.).

I am not sure why other studios charge for that. I would rather have you use that than a mediocre scan of the photo for your profile!

Speaking of what other places charge: I do NOT try to compete on prices. But tell me how charging higher session or "sitting" fees for multiple clothing changes makes sense! At shootmyphoto.com we want you to bring 6, 7, 10 outfits! You will probably buy more poses if you have more outfits right? Ha! So why do other places charge extra? There is no extra fee at shootmyphoto.com for blemish removal (pimples!), adding your name to wallets, internet/facebook pics... no fee for that stuff! That's silly. It's our job to make you beautiful (-er than you already are :)

Well that's about it, except let me shoot you a preview of Mr. Zach Roeder's Senior Portraits. He attends FJ Reitz in Evansville. He is a senior on the basketball team and blessed with wonderful parents. His mom was very involved in today's shoot with many of her own suggestions, very good ones! Thanks Tammy!

Bands and 'ball, another Friday Night

Dillon Stutsman, kicker and backup QB
for the State Champion Reitz Panthers
Always trying to squeeze more time out of the day, I was certain I could finish the work on the motorcycle before the Reitz vs Memorial football game. No. Didn't happen. I only missed one quarter, but in that quarter Mr. Dillon Stutsman had already passed for 2 touchdowns!
I had the pleasure of taking Dillon's Senior photos earlier this summer. He was great to work with.
He'd be the starting QB at any other school, but he is playing behind Indiana's next Mr. Football.
How lucky is Reitz? Mr. Football starts for you and their backup QB is as good/better than everyone else's first string QB! They grow them right on the West side!

The Reitz crowd always has someone
in costume. This game featured
characters from The Mario Brothers

Who knew stadium lighting
was so flattering? :)

The Labyrinth!

Today was short again. SAY Soccer is all caught up (and posted on the Facebook Fan Page, and photos from last week's Harrison at Reitz football game are posted at http://shop.photoreflect.com and there is an "Action Photos" link on the http://shootmyphoto.com website as well.
Sorry, Billie! I TRIED to concentrate on linemen, but we got a lot of new faces in the game when the score got ridiculous.
The band was ready to go in 4th quarter :)

Next it was off to take a photo of the new downtown arena being built in Evansville. The University of Evansville has been calling on shootmyphoto.com for ten years for sports publication photos. Here is a great image of the work in progress. Next year IU comes to town for a Purple Pounding! (We hope!)
My watermark is across the photo because someone will steal it for a publication if I don't. Call me at 812-437-4686 if you'd like to purchase it for your usage!

Well we had just enough time left in the day for a faux wedding. The Yearbook and Newspaper staffs at FJ Reitz High School married their publications and dedicated themselves to making the Reitz pub's wonderful pieces. John Wells and the great kids at Reitz will surely make that happen.
The cake cutting was fun! But the pose after that was even better.

I also helped deliver band trophies today that Mike Cates had ferried over. Now home to work on the motorcycle and probably make the Reitz at Memorial game. I have the best seat in the house already reserved!!

The day is short and year is long

Even the title of this first blog sounds like a complaint, but it shouldn't!

I truly love my job. Today started with editing a soccer league in Evansville, then off to a meeting with another photographer, next rushing to an office party photo gig, back to finish the league, then I dropped off a CD with 3500 images to be printed of the soccer and finally ran to Harrison High School to shoot 3/4 of a middle school football game.

I got to come home and ride the motorcycle a few miles away to have a Mexican meal with my friend... then back to post the football pictures at http://shop.photoreflect.com

Now, 11pm and time for Lights-out! I will be back at shootmyphoto.com World Headquarters about 8 in the morning to finish up soccer and prepare for a wedding on Saturday and another soccer shoot on Sunday!
Goodnight friends!
